Our band competed in Austin today, and the band and the color guard got 2nd place. We got Jacked!!!!! The group that got 3rd should have gotten 2nd, and we should have gotten 1st, and the team who one 1st should have gotten 3rd. Their show was not as good as ours and theirs was a little boring. The group that got 3rd, were better than the 1st place band by far. They had big props and utilized them well in their show. Our percussion (aka drum line & pit) got 1st place. Our percussion ROCKS!!!!!! Our theme this year is TRAX. It deals with trains and such. Granted it isn't as good of a show as last years, but the kids do really good. Also, our band was listed as one of the bands of the week on KCEN channel 6. If you go to the web sight and click on sports and then Friday Night Lights, you can vote on which band you like. The band that gets the most votes at the end of the season gets a $500 check donated to their school. Please vote for Lorena. We need all the votes we can get.
